Identification of paper cores
The price of imported high-grade black core special paper (the paper used in Las Vegas, the United States) and a piece of 330gsm imported high-grade black core special paper is 80,000 to 90,000 yuan. Because of such high prices, some counterfeit manufacturers came up with the idea of producing counterfeit black-core paper.
There are two general methods for producing counterfeit black core paper: one is to directly mix the black color paste with ordinary paper; the other is to use pigment carbon black. The cost of both methods is much lower than the production of real black-core paper, but the paper quality is unlikely to reach the level of the black-core paper.
The identification of black core paper can start from the following:
(1) After the real black core paper is torn, there will be an obvious three-layer structure; after the fake black core paper is torn, there is no obvious layered structure.
(2) The edge of the playing card with the real black core paper structure will change color when exposed to water, and the inner layer of black core paper will leak out; the counterfeit black core paper poker will fade when exposed to water.
(3) The real black core paper can withstand large bending and can be recovered; the counterfeit black core paper is difficult to recover after bending, and creases will appear.
